java.lang.Object

      extended by java.lang.Exception

All Implemented Interfaces:
java.io.Serializable

public final class TestException
extends java.lang.Exception

An exception thrown when an internal, unexpected testing error is encountered.

Such an exception might be thrown if the XML parser is misconfigured, but not if the XML parser can't parse a page because this would merely mean that the page is invalid and that the test should fail (in other words, such errors should be expected and are not internal anyway because they are triggered by external content).

Constructor Detail

TestException

TestException(java.lang.String message)
Constructs a new exception with the specified detail message.

The cause is not initialized, and may subsequently be initialized by a call to Throwable.initCause(Throwable).

Parameters:
message - the detail message. The detail message is saved for later retrieval by the Throwable.getMessage() method.

TestException

TestException(java.lang.Throwable cause)
Constructs a new exception with the specified cause and a detail message of (cause==null ? null : cause.toString()) (which typically contains the class and detail message of cause).

This constructor is useful for exceptions that are little more than wrappers for other throwables.

Parameters:
cause - the cause (which is saved for later retrieval by the Throwable.getCause() method). A null value is permitted, and indicates that the cause is nonexistent or unknown.

TestException

TestException(java.lang.String message,
              java.lang.Throwable cause)
Constructs a new exception with the specified detail message and cause.

Parameters:
message - the detail message. The detail message is saved for later retrieval by the Throwable.getMessage() method.
cause - the cause (which is saved for later retrieval by the Throwable.getCause() method). A null value is permitted, and indicates that the cause is nonexistent or unknown.
