Welcome to Amaya 9.99

Amaya is a Web client that acts both as a browser and as an authoring tool. It has been designed by W3C and INRIA with the primary purpose of demonstrating new Web technologies and helping users to generate valid Web pages.
With Amaya, you can manipulate rich Web pages containing forms, tables, and the most advanced features from XHTML. You can create and edit complex mathematical expressions within Web pages. You can style your documents using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).

Did you know?

Amaya is a structured editor
With the F2 or Escape key you can select the parent element in the structure, to apply editing functions (copy, paste, attributes, etc.) to the right element.
Documents can be edited through different synchronized views
The Views menu allows you to open the Structure view, the Source view, etc. Just click the line at the bottom or at the right to open or close an additional view
Documents can be published directly on remote servers
With the http PUT method you can save a Web page on a remote server provided you are allowed to do so.
Links can be created by a simple click
To create a link you can directly click its target (use Views > Show targets to display targets).
Amaya provides advanced commands
Section numbering, generation of table of contents, insertion of time stamp, structure transformation (see Edit > Transform).
